COMME DES GARCONS GIRL
Under the label Comme des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo brought the Japanese avant-garde to the West in 1981. A Japanese fashion label whose French name translates to 'like the boys', Comme des Garçons loose, asymmetric, monochrome and deconstructed designs paved the way for conceptual fashion. It is said that one doesn't just look at Comme des Garçons clothing - you experience it. Since launching the initial mainline collection, Kawakubo has expanded the company to incorporate over 15 different lines, each offering something different whilst remaining true to Kawakubo's initial vision.
The Comme des Garçons GIRL line mirrors Kawakubo's conceptual and ultra-contemporary vision of the mainline collection but with a slightly more feminine twist. Sweet Peter Pan collars and bows adorn Kawakubo's distinctive architectural shapes and tailored styles.
